We would like to wish everyone all the best for 2021 – let’s hope that this year is a turning point in the fight against Covid-19!
You will notice our prices are for room only, this is for two reasons. Firstly, we will only be able serve breakfast should we feel it is safe to do so within current guidelines and secondly, to give our guests the choice should they prefer not to partake of a communal breakfast. Therefore breakfast is offered as an additional option – a full breakfast for the rooms in the house and a continental breakfast for the Garden Hideaway. Each breakfast option costs $7.50 (plus tax) per person per night. We will also continue to serve complimentary early morning hot or cold drinks for guests staying in rooms within the house.
Because our summers seem to be getting warmer every year we have decided to fit window air conditioning units in all rooms, including the Garden Hideaway. These will be in place 1st June until 30 September.
Off season savings: Book a room between now and 31st May or between 1st October to 31st December and receive a discount of $10 per room per night!

We are now fully open! However, we are only accepting new bookings from within the Maritimes. Also, with current social distancing and health protocols in place things will be a little different. The main differences are that we are not serving breakfast and our downstairs guest lounge and dining will be closed to guests. We will, however, still be serving early morning coffee, tea or juice together with a homemade treat!
Please click here to visit our Covid-19 policies page.
We will be constantly reviewing the situation and will update our website with news whenever things change.
These are worrying times for everyone, no matter where you live. Please stay safe and keep well,
Best wishes John & Denise.

We are, of course, taking bookings for next summer and suggest, especially if you are planning to travel July & August, that you book as soon as your plans are confirmed to avoid disappointment.
We hope everyone stays safe and warm this winter, kind regards John & Denise Perry.

After a very busy season, we will be closed until November 22nd so we can catch up with family and get some maintenance projects done. During this time we may not be able to answer your calls so please leave us a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Please be patient as it may be a few days before we reply. If you are looking to book a room, particularly for the Father Christmas festival, you can always book online by clicking on the check availability/book online button at the top right hand side of any of the pages on our website. Our online booking engine is secure, free to use and although we require your credit card to secure the booking no payment is taken at time of booking.
Please note that until May 1st 2019 we are open for reservations only.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone – whether on their first or a return visit for staying with us. Our aim is always to enable you to have a relaxed “home away from home ” stay and, from your comments on review sites, in our guest books and in person we appear to be achieving this!.
Wishing everyone a safe (& not too cold) winter and we look forward to seeing you in 2019.
John & Denise
