Fall News

September and October can be a wonderful time to visit Mahone Bay. The weather can still be warm during the day and the sunsets on the Bay, together with the fall colors, are a sight to behold. September 29th sees the start of our Scarecrow Festival & Antique Fair weekend. Although we are already fully booked for the Friday & Saturday we do have vacancies the following week when you are still able to view all the wonderful scarecrows around the town – without the crowds! We will be closing the week commencing October 23rd as we are getting a new roof. After this date, we will be open again but for reservations only. If possible we would like 48 hours notice if you intend to stay with us during our winter months.

    Covid-19 update:

We were planning to re-open our house for guests as from July 1st 2020, however, following discussions with our health provider with regards to Denise’s chronic health conditions we have sadly, decided to postpone, once again, opening the rooms in the house until at least August.

However, the Garden Hideaway is bookable although, at the moment, we are only accepting new bookings from within the Maritimes and initially only from Nova Scotia, until the Maritime borders are open within a ‘bubble”.

We will be constantly reviewing the situation and will update our website with news whenever things change. We do apologize for the changes but keeping ourselves and others safe and healthy has to be our first priority.

Please stay safe and keep well,
    Best wishes
    John & Denise.
